Deeply honored to have welcomed the distinguished Muhammad Saleem Ahmad Ranjha Sahib to my home over lunch.

A former civil servant and a true institution builder, Mr. Ranjha has spent decades connecting people, organizations, and ideas across Pakistan’s entrepreneurial, social, and development ecosystem. From his founding role at Akhuwat to his continued service on the boards of leading organizations across education, technology, and social impact, his contribution to institution building has been truly remarkable.

He has also been a familiar and highly respected leader within the OPEN Lahore community. It was especially meaningful to receive his warm congratulations and best wishes as I take charge as President of OPEN Lahore.

Beyond the conversation, what stayed with me was his genuine warmth and humility, shaped by a lifetime devoted to serving people and strengthening institutions rather than positions.

We spoke about the shared responsibility of connectors and community leaders to keep opening doors, bringing people together, and strengthening the ecosystems we are part of, so that the next generation of entrepreneurs, changemakers, and institution builders can inherit a stronger Pakistan.
