Since 1989, Shahzad has led the company to become a market leader in Pakistan’s textile sector, boasting an impressive annual turnover exceeding $242 million. He is not only an exceptional business leader but also an amazing mentor and a very inspiring elder brother to us. As a dedicated Lahore University of Management Sciences alumnus, his contributions to the institution are nothing short of remarkable. As the founding board member of the association, He played a pivotal role in establishing the LUMS SDSB Alumni Association and has served multiple terms as its President and Board member. His commitment to LUMS extends to his tenure on the Board of Trustees, and he has been honored with the prestigious Pride of LUMS Award for his outstanding contributions.

During our meeting, we congratulated Shahzad Saleem on his appointment as a member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council which has been tasked with reviewing Pakistan’s economy, assessing subsidies & financial policies, and suggesting comprehensive recommendations for policymaking. Mr. Shahzad’s expertise will undoubtedly be invaluable in this role.

We also took the opportunity to discuss the recent initiatives and achievements of the LUMS SDSB Luminites Association and the future plans. Shahzad shared his insightful feedback, offering a wealth of learnings and highlighting areas for improvement. In light of his advice, we are determined to amplify our community engagement efforts and expand networking opportunities for the LUMS alumni community. Shahzad extended his best wishes for the upcoming elections and the upcoming office bearers of the LUMS SDSB Alumni Association, encouraging them to continue serving the LUMS community with dedication and passion.
