It was an honor to attend a memorable evening at Lahore Fort, graciously hosted by Stetson Sanders, U.S. Consul General Lahore, to commemorate 250 years of American independence.
The event was attended by distinguished guests from government, diplomacy, business, and civil society, with Marriyum Aurangzeb serving as Chief Guest. Both leaders spoke about the enduring strength of Pakistan–United States relations, highlighting cooperation across trade, education, security, and people-to-people connections. The joint cake-cutting ceremony symbolized the spirit of friendship and partnership shared by both nations.
It was also wonderful to reconnect with friends and colleagues from the diplomatic community, including Ben Warrington, as well as corporate leaders, civil society representatives, and fellow members of the American Business Forum. Grateful to have been part of an evening that celebrated history, friendship, and the power of international collaboration.
