Thrilled to share some very exciting news from the tech arena!

I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Umar Saif, Honorable Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, and he has graciously accepted my invitation to be the Chief Guest at the Pakistan Mobile Summit, happening on January 29, 2024, in collaboration with Tecno Mobile. This groundbreaking event will be attended by key stakeholders from the mobile phone and telecommunication sectors, converging to delve into pivotal discussions on 5G network development, smartphone penetration, digital inclusion, and sustainability.

Dr. Umar Saif has previously served as the Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the founding Vice Chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU). His contributions in Punjab have left a robust legacy of digitization in areas of health, education, and law enforcement. It is inspiring to see his contributions to the IT landscape of Pakistan, be it in the form of efforts on 5G licensing or the establishment of Telecommunication Appellate Tribunals and much more.

During my conversation with Dr. Umar Saif, we also discussed the transformative power of quality education and its role in the development of youth. Dr. Umar Saif and I share a common alma mater, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) that provided a strong foundation for our journeys.
